The newest diet buzz in the world of the rich, elite and famous is the lemon detox diet. This comes as no surprise, as this weight loss plan has many claimed benefits. It can jump start your metabolism, offer enough nutrients to keep the body energized, and at the same time, cleanse it from unwanted toxins.

Medical experts claim that the Lemon Detox Diet, also tagged as a detoxification diet, provides various health benefits, such as:• Strengthening the immune system• Great weight loss results, especially for those considered overweight or obese • Cleansing of harmful body toxins, especially in the liver and colon. • Increased vitality and energy• Improved skin and hair conditions• Better nails • Improved concentration

The liquid Lemon Detox Diet generally lasts 7 to 10 days and consists of the following key ingredients: pure lemon juice, ground cayenne pepper or ginger, natural maple syrup and cold, clean water. The fresher and more natural the ingredients are the better the diet works.

Lemons contain high-levels of vitamin C or ascorbic acid, a component known to cleanse the body by washing out harmful toxins. Add some cayenne pepper, which will effectively speed up the metabolism, and before you know it, the detoxification process will have successfully taken effect. The maple syrup, a natural sweetener, is also a source of energy, and helps in curbing hunger.
