Lemonade Diet is a method of internal body cleansing freeing oneself of toxic and other substances that are not beneficial if not harmful to one’s health. Lemonade is a healthful drink that comes from natural juices of lemons. They look oval in shape and come from the citrus family of fruit. It has a sour-pungent flavor that if mixed with sugar and honey and diluted in water produces a very thirst quenching if not healthful drink.

When Stanley Burroughs, an alternative medicine specialist, invented the Lemonade Diet (Master Cleanse Diet) over 60 years ago, he never thought that his regimen will stand the test of time and be so successful for so long. This simple, yet so effective, diet plan includes only 3 basic ingredients, which when combined together offer tremendous health benefits.

The lemonade diet also known as the detox diet is a fasting program you follow for a certain number of days usually 3-10 days. The goal of the program is to remove toxins that have accumulated in the body.These toxins drain the body of energy. The lemonade diet has been around for over a 100 years but has just recently come back into vogue.

As with any diet or diet supplement, you should first consult your physician, especially if you have a medical condition. Although the Lemonade Diet pill is made of all natural ingredients, it would be wise to check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure any medications you are taking will not interact negatively with this diet.

The Lemonade diet isn’t actually a diet– rather, it’s a cleanse. What does this mean? Well, the lemonade diet is actually a fast, allowing you no food at all for at least ten days, meant to cleanse your system of all toxins and nastiness. The original name for this diet/fast is the Master Cleanse, and it’s often called the lemonade diet because your only sustenance will come from a type of lemonade made from maple syrup and lemons.

The basic steps to this popular diet involve drinking fresh-squeezed organic lemons, water, organic maple syrup and organic cayenne pepper. This is consumed consecutively for 10 or more days without food. Additionally, a daily salt water flush and/or an herbal laxative tea are also advised.

There are many options available for weight loss. You could try bariatric surgery, but, as with all surgeries, there are risks and the cost of such surgery can be prohibitive. You can try exercise, but most people need the assistance of a personal trainer to stick to their exercise routine and give them the incentive to keep up the workout schedule.

But don’t fret. Losing at least 10 pounds in just a span of two weeks is still possible. Technological advances nowadays have helped in the creation of the lemonade diet pills – the newest and probably the most dynamic way to lose weight. Starvation and other types of food deprivation will not be done when taking lemonade pills as opposed to being on a lemonade diet – and also gives the same level of effectiveness.

Besides the use of lemon juice it also uses natural laxatives. The use of this lemonade diet master cleanser is not easy in the slightest and should not be entered into lightly. It promotes a very strict regiment that lasts 10 days where you do not have any food to eat or consume any dairy.

This cleansing diet apparently concentrating on a nutritious and refreshing lemonade (perfect for those dieting during summer!) that is made up of non-fluoridated water, lemon juice (freshly-squeezed please, not from those canned drinks) and cayenne pepper. Add just enough maple syrup (Grade B) to sweeten. Now, one will just have to drink six to 12 glasses of lemonade daily.

The only problem with this master cleanse diet is the fact that the pounds you lose while eliminating all the toxins of your body will immediately come back due to the diet’s yo-yo effect. Many of the people who have tried it have reported a rapid weight gain as soon as they have gone off the detoxification program.

One of them is the Master Cleanse diet or better known as the lemonade diet. This diet uses the well-known cleansing properties of lemon. You need to drink a mix of lemon for the next ten days. Though it appears to be a tough proposition initially, it is known for its great results.

It works on the simple process of starvation. Lemonade, even when drunk in large quantities can provide only so many calories that will not equal what your previous diet provided. When the body starts to starve, it starts to lose water weight and muscle weight. There will be some fat loss as well although most of the weight loss will be in the form of healthy muscle.
