Fresh is always the best for our bodies and where else can we get the perfect fresh food? Fruits! Fruits are actually packed with powerful healing components that can boost enzyme activity, wash off harmful bacteria and cleanse your body from those dangerous toxins in a process called detoxification.

In this article, it will going to be very fruity! The Fruit Flush diet, invented by clinical nutritionist Jay Robb, is a three-day plan to have your body detoxified that might just be perfect for you. During these 3 days, your body will be relieved from the burden of overworking your digestive system and it would be the best time for cleansing your body as fruits are natural cleansers.

How does it work?

The nutrients found in fruits help in dissolving the build-up of toxic substances, we got from eating junk foods, artificial ingredients, alcohol, caffeine and more, in our body and then flush it out through the fruit’s water and natural fiber.

Benefits of fruit flushing

In starting this 3-day fruit diet, you won’t regret anything. You’ll gain the following as a reward to your body:

Your Digestive system will be able to take a rest and work more efficiently after the diet. Since fruits are rich in fiber, improvement in your bowel movement will be observed. Fruits also have antioxidants which will get rid of toxins and free radicals found in your body. Risk for stomach and colon cancer will be reduced. Risk for cardiovascular diseases can be greatly reduced.

2 Phases of Fruit Diet

The Fruit flushing diet is really easy. It consists a pre-flush day on the first day, followed by fruit flushing on the next two days.

Pre-flush Day (Day 1) In the morning, mix 32 ounces of water with 1 ¼ cup of egg white. Whey protein powder can also be used but it must be free of any artificial sugars, flavours, and colors. Use this to make a shake. From 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., drink a 6-oz glass of the protein shake you made every two hours. This will then be followed by eating a large salad that can be topped with lean chicken, fish or even turkey of about 3-6 oz at 6:00 p.m. You can choose any vegetable salad you like but be sure to include plenty of green leafy vegetables. One hour after each protein shake and salad, drink 8-12 oz of water. You can have more water for the day if you are thristy.Fruit Flushing Days (Days 2 and 3) Eat one serving of fresh fruit every 2 hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This will be followed by eating a large mixed vegetable salad at 6:00 p.m. This time around, the only allowed addition to your salad are these: 1-2 tablespoons of olive or flaxseed oil; or ½ avocado and ½ lemon or lime juice. Along with your salad, drink a protein shake. This time it will be made from 12 oz of water and 5 tablespoons of egg white or whey protein powder. Don’t forget to drink 8-12 oz of water one hour after each fruit serving and one hour after eating your salad.

There you have it, the 3-day fruit diet which is so easy and works wonderfully. To have the best results, it’s always better to check your physician first before trying any diet plan.
